Every lamp starts with a piece of raw wood burl. I shape the edges, sand it down, and seal it by hand before anything else. Then I paint each figurine under a magnifying glass. I place everything into the mold with tweezers, pour the resin in layers, and wait. Each layer has to cure before the next one goes in. Once it's set, I sand and polish until you can see straight through it like glass. When you turn it on in a dark room, the whole galaxy lights up from the inside. That's the part that makes it all worth it.
